Hey guys and gals,
So, I did some research on the throttle body and given the symptoms of my car I think it is certain that is what is going bad. However, since the episode mentioned in my last post the wrench light is no longer turning on and the car has been behaving as badly as any automatic should, but no worse. I have an appointment to drop my car off at Ford Tuesday morning, I refuse to pay for this though since it does seem to be warranty covered. However, since the light is no longer on and I am currently not experiencing the issues, I’m afraid I will be needlessly charged for and inspection. I’m thinking they will tell me nothing is wrong, give me the bill, and a few weeks later my truck will be left on the side of the road dead from the throttle body giving way. What do you think? Is it worth taking the car in when I’m not currently experiencing trouble with a part that is going dead?

Might have stored codes. I’d get it checked just to get on the record.

A dealership shouldn't really ever charge you to look at your car especially for a warranty repair. Even if the warning light isn't there right now, the computer will store the code.
